Kiara Advani Inspired Mangalsutra
One stone in a pavé halo, a fine chain, black beads in short clusters. Made in yellow gold or rose gold.
Made to order. The price follows the stone you pick and the day's gold rate, so ask us and we will quote it properly.
- BIS hallmarked gold
- Certified diamonds
- Chembur, since 1986
Yellow Gold or Rose Gold
Two metals, and the rest is yours to decide.

What you can change
- Stone size, from a modest centre up to a full carat
- Natural or lab-grown diamond
- Chain length, cut to your measurement
- More bead clusters for a traditional look, fewer for a plainer chain
- 18K or 22K gold
We do not make this design in silver.
The Design
Halo pendant
Round centre stone ringed with pavé, sitting inline on the chain.
Fine chain
Thin cable link, black beads in short clusters between runs.
Collarbone length
16 to 18 inches, cut to your measurement.
Gold only
18K or 22K, yellow or rose. Not made in silver.
What Changes the Price
Four decisions, and the first one matters most.
Stone size
The stone is most of the bill. From 0.30ct to 1ct the price climbs far faster than the size does on the neck.
Natural or lab-grown
Same grading, a fraction of the price. Lab-grown lets you go bigger for the same budget, and both come certified.
18K or 22K
18K holds the prongs better and is the usual choice here. 22K is softer and carries more gold value per gram.
Chain length
16 inches stays visible above a neckline. 18 inches sits under a collar. It decides how often you wear it.

Questions People Ask Us
How much does it cost?
Almost all of it is the stone, so the number moves with the size you pick and whether it is natural or lab-grown. Tell us a budget on WhatsApp and we will show you what it buys at each size.
Can I get it in rose gold?
Yes. We make this design in yellow gold and rose gold, in 18K or 22K. We do not make it in silver.
Can I use a lab-grown diamond?
Yes, and many people do for this design, because the look depends on the stone reading large. It is certified and graded the same way as a natural stone.
Is a short mangalsutra alright to wear?
The black beads are the part that carries the meaning, and they are there. If your family expects a particular length or pendant, tell us and we will make it that way.
Can I try it on before ordering?
Yes. Come to the Chembur counter and try the proportion on. That settles the chain length and stone size faster than any photo will.
Where the Design Came From
Kiara Advani married Sidharth Malhotra in February 2023 at Suryagarh in Jaisalmer. The mangalsutra she wore was a Sabyasachi piece: a plain gold chain, black beads, and one large solitaire at the centre. Press reports put it at around ₹2 crore, a figure that came from the coverage rather than from the designer, and we cannot confirm it.
What spread was the proportion. Bridal mangalsutras had generally meant a heavy pendant on a long double strand, worn once and then kept in the locker. This one was light enough for every day and still read as a mangalsutra across a room, because the black beads do that on their own.
One thing changed on the way. The original stone sits alone; nearly every version sold since rings it with a pavé halo, which makes a modest stone look considerably larger. That is the version people ask us for, and the one shown here.

About this design
Swarn Shikhar Jewellers has no affiliation with Kiara Advani, with Sabyasachi, or with any other brand named on this page, and none of them endorse us or our work. We name them because that is how customers describe the design when they ask for it.
The mangalsutra shown here is our own piece and our own photograph. It is made in the style that became popular, not as a reproduction of anyone's original, and the prices, weights and stone sizes are ours alone.
