Whatever you do, don't press it back yourself

Gold can weaken when the same spot bends repeatedly. Pressing a dent back by hand may turn it into a crack, so bring the bangle in as it is.

What comes in, and what we do with it

Different damage needs different bench work.

Dents and flat spots

Daily knocks leave dents and flat spots. We work the bangle back into shape on a mandrel and protect the pattern as we go.

Gone oval

An out-of-round bangle digs into the wrist. Re-rounded on the mandrel, size checked after.

Cracks and splits

Often at an old joint. Cleaned, soldered with matching gold, refinished until the repair disappears.

Hinges, screws and clasps

We repair hinges, replace lost kada screws and re-tension clasps so they close securely.

Size up or down

Cut, metal added or removed, soldered and blended. Never stretched thin. We measure your hand first.

Kids' kadas and baby bangles

We straighten bent baby bangles and nazariya, and resize them when the design allows it.

Solid and hollow bangles are different repairs

The biggest factor in your quote, and in what we can promise.

Solid bangles: routine work

Solid gold has body. Dents come out, ovals come round, cracks solder cleanly. Often same-day, and you should not be able to tell it was ever damaged.

Hollow bangles: an honest answer first

A thin gold tube around air. Dents crease rather than pop out, and solder heat can flatten the tube. Many improve a great deal, some cannot be perfect. We tell you which yours is before you decide.

Solid or hollow? A photo usually settles it

Send a picture of the bangle and the damage. We reply with what kind it is, the rough cost, and whether it is same-day.

What about the pattern on it?

Carved patterns survive reshaping well. Two honest limits: meenakari enamel dislikes heat, and a machine-cut mirror finish is matched closely by hand, not exactly. You hear this at the counter, not at pickup.

Fit problem instead of damage? The cut-and-solder approach from our resizing service applies to bangles too. Everything else lives at the repair bench.

How a bangle repair goes

The honest conversation comes first.

1

Solid or hollow, first

We identify the construction, then check the whole circle for cracks and old joints.

2

Price and a straight answer

You get the cost, timeline and likely result before deciding.

3

Reshaped and soldered

We ease out dents on the mandrel, solder cracks and replace worn fittings.

4

Finish matched, then checked

We blend the finish and check the fit on your wrist. The repair has a 90-day warranty.

Questions people ask about bangles

Usually asked while turning the bangle over in their hands.

Can a dented gold bangle be repaired?

Almost always, if it is solid. Dents and ovals come round on the mandrel. Hollow bangles are a different story, so we identify the build first and quote honestly.

Why should I not bend it back myself?

Gold hardens each time it bends. Hand-pressing makes it brittle at that spot, and the next knock cracks it. A dent is small work. A crack means soldering.

What is different about hollow bangles?

A thin tube of gold around air, with nothing inside to push against. Dents crease and solder can flatten it. Many improve a lot, some cannot be perfect. We say which before starting.

How much does bangle repair cost?

Reshaping solid bangles is modest bench work. Soldering, fittings and added gold cost more, itemised in the quote you approve first. A photo gets a rough idea.

Can you resize bangles, say from size 2-6 to 2-8?

Yes. Cut, gold added or removed, soldered, polished. We measure your hand first. The right size clears your knuckles, not the number you remember.

My kada's screw is lost. Can you replace just the screw?

Usually. We match the thread and finish or make a screw to fit. We can also re-cut stripped threads.

Will the carving or meenakari survive the repair?

Carving survives reshaping well and is re-blended after soldering. Meenakari is the exception: heat can damage enamel, and exact colour matches are not always possible. We say so first.

Do you repair silver kadas and bracelets too?

Yes. Men's kadas, women's bangles, kids' nazariya. Silver is forgiving at the bench, so these are often same-day.

Bring it in as it is
