The bar and its pack
The kilo bar comes in NIBR ACA's sealed red and gold pack, with the tree emblem and FINE SILVER 999+ stamped on the face. The lagdi from 1 g to 500 g are sealed the same way.
Keep the pack closed and the bill with it. Both matter on the day you sell.

What does 999+ purity mean on this NIBR ACA silver bar?
At least 99.9 percent silver, the highest commercial grade, also called fine silver. The bar is stamped 999+ with the refinery's tree emblem, and an XRF test at our counter or any assaying centre confirms it.
How is the price of a 1 KG silver bar calculated?
The day's silver rate per gram times 1000, plus a small premium, plus 3 percent GST. The rate moves through the day, so WhatsApp us at 85912 41161 for today's exact figure.
How should I store this 1 KG silver bar to prevent tarnishing?
In its sealed NIBR ACA pack, somewhere dry, away from rubber bands, newspaper and PVC. If it darkens anyway, it is cosmetic only and a silver cloth clears it.
Can I verify the authenticity of this silver bar myself?
Check the markings and the sealed pack, try a magnet (silver is not magnetic) and weigh it. For proof, bring it to our Chembur store for a free XRF test.
What are the tax implications of buying a silver bar in India?
GST of 3 percent on purchase. If you sell after holding it more than 24 months, long-term capital gains tax of 12.5 percent applies on the profit; sold sooner, the gain is taxed at your slab rate. Keep the invoice from Swarn Shikhar Jewellers as proof of purchase date and price.
Do you offer smaller silver bar sizes or can I buy fractional quantities?
Yes. NIBR ACA lagdi in 1 g, 2 g, 5 g, 10 g, 15 g, 20 g, 25 g, 50 g, 100 g, 200 g, 250 g and 500 g, plus 999 silver coins in 10 g to 100 g for gifting. The premium per gram is lower on the bigger bars, so for keeping, buy the largest your budget allows.
