The whole lid is gold-tone relief: Balaji standing under a temple arch with the namam on his forehead, and the two consort figures, Lakshmi and Padmavati, on either side. The base is orange velvet with gold-tone charan paduka in the centre; the two plaques carry a chakra and a shankh instead of text. It closes like a book.
